How much does it cost to stripe a parking lot?

The cost of painting a parking lot can vary based on several factors, including the size of the lot, the type of paint used, and the complexity of the layout. Here are some estimates to give you an idea:

    1. Linear Foot Pricing:
      • For parking lot striping, the cost typically ranges from $0.25 to $0.40 per linear foot, depending on the width of the line.
      • A typical pricing for 30 to 50 parking spaces averages around $650, but it could be as low as $500.
      • For larger parking lots (more than 50 spaces) or brand new paint jobs, expect to pay up to $950 for a new layout.
      • If it’s a repaint, you’ll likely pay 20% to 50% less.
      • Keep in mind that price will increase when including arrows or stop lines in their prices.
      • For specific types of painting:
        • Single line painting (for a parking stall): $0.25 – $0.40 per linear foot
        • Other ground painting (fire lane, cross-hatching, no parking or loading zones): $0.25 – $0.50 per linear foot
        • Curb painting (red or yellow): $0.75 – $1 per linear foot
        • You can request thicker lines (up to 12 inches) for applications like crosswalks.
        • A single line for a parking stall typically costs $5 to $7.
      • Per Square Foot Pricing:
        • On average, parking lot striping costs $0.03 to $0.10 per square foot.
        • Cross-hatching and accessible parking spots may cost up to $0.25 per square foot.
        • Smaller parking lots have a higher cost per square foot due to similar overhead costs.
        • Expect pricing to start at $450.
        • Most companies charge based on the number of lines or linear feet, not square footage.
